The story of Nathaniel McHorney's 1901 trip to Ecuador.

February 6th, 1901

The page for Wednesday, February 6th says:

Arose at 7 A.M. At work 7:20 Clock in
office changed half an hour.
About 8:15 A.M. Mr. D.C. Stapleton
and C.G.F. start on a trip to Papago
Grande. 6 hours walk - to remain
overnight. D.C.D. told me to ahead
on a/cs - worked all day on them.
Am puzzled to know how to charge
off various a/cs.
D.C.S. will return Thursday night
Rest of cargo arrived today
Boy at work on incubator.
Tiresome day of it.
At 8 P.M. went to Mr. D.C. Stapleton's
house at request of Mrs. C.F. Franklyn,
as Mr. Franklyn would not be
home to-night.

Questions and comments:

  • I think that ‘a/c’ is an abbreviation for “account”
