April 2nd, 1901

The page for Tuesday, April 2nd says:

At office 6:10 A.M.
Working at many different things. Takes up
much time.
Mr. Moore sent for me to come to his house. Read
to me his conclusion of his report. Its straight
goods too. Told me had signed it now in case of 
anything happening him. I saw his signature to
Altogether another mixed up data of it.
Mail may come?

Food and provisions mostly all out.
Rice and tea, plantains; plenty on hand.
Some fun down here watching Francis dealing
with a tobacco sharp.
No dicker made.
Tobacco $4 a pound here.
