Rain fall 1 30/100 past 24 hours.
Dispatched mail to-day to Anna, Susie,
Maria and Sister Teresa.
I wonder if Anna will understand it

sheet from Adelaide's letter.
Hear much talk about the lack of water
from Sapayo when 3 or 4 days of dry
weather ensues. During heavy rains

water is a menace to the line during
the past 4 days.
Good watchmen essential or up goes
the work done. Russell, carpenter, is
much exercised.
Read my Tomas a' Kempis much.
Only 50 men at window today.
Had a change of fresh pork at tea.
Cayapas indians brought it to camp.
