is waved. altogether an impressive scene.
One inclined to beat time instead of mea
culpa. Children of Mary looked virginal
in white. Paid my debt of gratitude to out
Blessed Lady in answer to my prayer
for speedy relief to Nattie's fever, last
March.
At 1 p.m. go to (Plaza) Cathedral Park
to see lottery drawing. Crowds around.
Chinamen, Africans, and the poor mostly.
Day is rather hot. Hunt up Downey. Asleep.
Mr. Diez sends for board bill. Must look
him up as band plays this p.m. on Plaza.
Dress up again 1st time in 7 months.
Given Downey $20. Gold. He loans it to Dennis on watch.
Hear band play in the Plaza. Promenade.
English dude to a H?? pickaninny.
Downey leaves Hotel about 8 p.m. to take a
walk. Slept 6 hours to-day.
