The page for Monday, September 2nd says:

People are very thin in Panama, hawk and spit
much. Obesity or elephantiasis is the other extreme.
Turkey Buzzards and Pelicans very tame.
Meet Morrissey again. He is going to confession
today. Belongs in Colorado - has 5 brothers.

Much trouble about passports.

Questions and comments:

  • I don’t remember Pat Walsh being mentioned before.
  • Nathaniel spelled it ‘elephantisis’; I corrected the spelling.
  • I wonder what the trouble was with the passports. Nathaniel’s is quite new; he received it in January of this year (1901).
